A German Condor flight (Boeing 757-330, D-ABOK) en route from Corfu to Düsseldorf made a dramatic emergency landing in Brindisi, southern Italy, after its right engine caught fire shortly after take-off. Witnesses reported a loud bang and visible flames shooting from the engine exhaust. The incident is believed to have been caused by a bird strike.
