Step outside just after sunset and you may catch an unusual sight: six planets strung across the sky in a gentle arc.

A U.K. astrophotographer had to put together some clever equipment tricks to show six of the seven planets in a rare 'parade' over the south of England.

While alignments themselves aren't special, it is rare to have an opportunity to observe multiple planets simultaneously without the need for instruments like ground telescopes.
