Brooklynites gathered at McCarren Park for a mass snowball fight on Sunday, January 25, as a major storm dumped as much as 10 inches of snow on the area.Between 8 and 10 inches of snow was reported across areas of Brooklyn as of around 3 pm local time on Sunday.
The snowballs were expected to start flying at 9 a.m. on Sunday on the North lawn of the Washington Monument near the intersection of 15th Street and Constitution Ave. But organizers decided to cancel the event due to sleet conditions.
