There is a 20 to 30 percent chance of flurries early Sunday in South Mississippi, according to Grigsby. The moisture is shifting east as the cold air moves in, and the chance of flurries increases east of Gulfport. Any flakes would likely fall between midnight and 6 a.m.
Southern Colorado will see a strong cold front move through on Thursday night. This will lead to a chilly and gusty Friday. Temperatures remain cold for Saturday.
We wrap up the weekend warm with highs in the mid 80s. With a cold front arriving Sunday afternoon, followed by an even stronger cold front midweek.
We’re talking about cold fronts that mean business! The high temperature on Wednesday was in the middle 40s, right around midnight, before temperatures fell through the day and gusty northerly winds brought in colder air. Temperatures look to moderate Thursday and Friday before another push of cooler air this weekend.
Friday’s cold front brings in much colder air to Central Texas for Saturday. We expect a freeze in the Hill Country Saturday morning. Highs on Saturday will only reach the 50s. Saturday night into Sunday morning will bring a widespread freeze and likely our coldest morning of the winter season so far.
